A vision of you . . .
and in the absence,
It’s not nearly the corporeal—
but an instance of joy
nonetheless.
The time away . . .
accepted and understood—
but not quite enjoyed,
and yet a purpose—
A test of sorts,
not clear, not expected.
but acknowledged in the end—
and passed.
Still early, no doubt—
my head’s on tight . . .
but my heart's afloat.
